something about me
I still remember the first day that my mom took me to go see a movie; I was so scared to death. Walking in the dark when you couldn’t see anything was awful enough, but wait until you had to sit with a stranger who looked like a serial killer was the whole anothing subject. As all the sounds around me rose down, the unfamilar music rush out from the screen like a fierce tiger jumped out to attack a tiny mouse. And finally the title that read “Jurassic Park” appeared in the middle of the screen. All the uncomfortable feelings that I had before seemed to disappear like a wind in the sunny day. I was amazed by the magic in front of me throughtout the movie.I mean I don’t even like dinosaurs but Steven Speirberg still managed to convince me to love it. And from that day I’m determined to be a film director. My uncle used to tell me that what a big difference between a dream and reality. A dream doesn’t always come true and a reality isn’t always what we wish it to be. You can dream of becoming a doctor all you want but if you’re terrified of blood and corpse, your dream is not going anywhere but a dream. Of course being a director is more than just about having a beard, wearing a baseball cap or having a cool lastname like Scorcese, Tarantino, or Speilberge. I think it’s ultimately about making people believe in what you do. My goal is to to send my messages acroos to the audiences and have them response to my piece of art. In a way, I think being a film director potentially could make me feel like being a president except a film director has a lot more fun, and who wouldn’t want that right? A film director is the real leader. That’s to say that you have to let everyone who are doing their work do their work. However, a director is a guide. He or she is the center of everything. And in the end of the day, it’s also a director’s fault if anything turns out wrong. I also worship the idea of talents and hard work rahter than luck. To make it big in the industry, or Hollywood, takes a lot of courages and talents. I want to prove to everyone that I could be an Asian film director that stands next to Steven Speirlberg, Peter Jackson, Clinnts Eastwood or Martin Scorcese. My uncle also said a dream is much more fun than a reality. Dreaming allows us to become who we want until, of course, when we wake up. So for the next twenty years of my succuessful film director carrer, I picture myself like I would never have imagined myself that way before. Forget about Brad Pitt, walking down the red carpet with Angelina Jolie by my left and Jennifer Aniston by my right to my world premire of my next big hit movie would be beyond my dream. And wait until the night of Oscars where thousand of respectful and admired people from movie industries gather together to make a history, and I will be one of them walking in a jaunty manner. It would be even jauntier if I actually win an Academy Award for Best Director. A lof of applaud arose from everywhere in the hall as I proudly walk up to the stage and give an impassion sppech that is a show stopper. Now that could be the culmination of my career.
